Noida Board Approves ₹8,732 Crore Budget for FY 2025-26; Major Infrastructure and Investment Push Announced

Noida: In a significant move towards urban development and economic growth, the Noida Authority approved a comprehensive budget of ₹8,732 crore for the financial year 2025-26 during its 217th board meeting held on Friday. The meeting was chaired by Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary and Noida Authority Chairman, Manoj Kumar Singh.

The approved budget emphasizes infrastructure development, maintenance, and investment promotion across the city. Out of the total amount, ₹2,410 crore has been allocated for development projects, ₹2,229 crore for maintenance, and ₹224 crore for village development initiatives.

Boost for Stalled Builder Projects

A major highlight of the meeting was the success of the Authority’s scheme introduced on December 21, 2023, aimed at resolving long-pending builder disputes. Builders with outstanding dues were allowed to settle by paying 25% of the amount. The scheme has already led to the recovery of ₹533.91 crore and has facilitated the completion and registration of nearly 2,726 flats, offering relief to countless homebuyers.

New Elevated Road to Ease Traffic

To address growing traffic congestion, the board approved the construction of a six-lane elevated road running parallel to the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. This key infrastructure project is expected to improve connectivity with Delhi, Haryana, and the upcoming Noida International Airport, significantly reducing the load on existing expressways.

Land Rate Revisions and Policy Initiatives

The Authority has implemented a 6% increase in land rates for residential, commercial, and group housing properties. However, land rates for industrial and institutional plots remain unchanged to encourage business activities.

In a bid to attract investments, the Authority has rolled out the Uttar Pradesh Aerospace and Defense Unit and Employment Promotion Policy-2024 and the Uttar Pradesh Multi-Modal Logistics Park Policy-2024, aiming to draw investments in the defense and logistics sectors.

Enhanced Structural Safety Measures

To ensure the safety of high-rise buildings, the Noida Authority has revised its Structural Audit Policy. Qualified private institutions will now be allowed to carry out structural audits, with proposals to be invited shortly.

Record Revenue Collection

The Authority also announced a record revenue collection of 88.2% for the year 2024-25 — the highest in its history — reflecting improved financial discipline and public engagement.
